Why do you want to be Catholic Christians ? Why not going to other Christian churches ? Aren't all churches the same ? Don't they all believe in Jesus ? Yes and no. Most Christian denominations believe in Jesus as God. But most of them believe they don't need the sacraments such as Holy Communion, Confession of sins to priests, Confirmation ... so how do you make your choice of which church you'd go to ? One good way is to read the writings of the Fathers of the Church. They were the Christians of the first few centuries. You'll learn about what they believe, how they worship, etc. Most of the first Christians died as martyrs for what they believed. So their testimonies are precious to us. If you read the writings of Justin Martyr for instance, you'll discover that the way the Early Christians worship resembles very much to what you see at Catholic Mass nowadays.

This book gives you a good introduction to the writing of the Fathers of the Church.
