Carmel of Lisieux and St. Therese's Relics Exposition - June 2005          Back to main page

The Carmel of Lisieux was a high point during my trip. Inside the chapel, you could come close to the
reliquary where is buried St. Therese to recall the life of a saint who so loved Jesus-Christ through
her little ways. If you could visit Lisieux, it will be worth your time to read "The Story of a Soul"
before you go. The more you know about St. Therese, the more you'll appreciate your stay in Lisieux.
When you enter the Carmel, on your left, you will see the "Salle des reliques" where tools and clothes
that used to belong St. Therese are exposed. You could play an audio-commentary, available in at least
seven different languages, to help you understand what those tools and clothes represent in the life
of St. Therese. The audio commentary lasts about ten minutes and is really moving.
